The MAC Foundation
Aspiring Endowment Fund
The Aspiring Endowment Fund is a managed portfolio set up by the MAC Foundation with the goal of generating money in perpetuity to support Mt Aspiring College. Support is given to the college under the three pillars of Equity, Excellence and Wellbeing.
Your donation will be added in full to the endowment fund investment portfolio, where it will be protected and used to generate ongoing benefits. Each year a portion of the returns from the portfolio will be used for the annual needs of the college, with the remainder
reinvested to grow the fund for the future.
FUNDRAISING GOALS
The Foundation has a medium-term goal of raising an endowment fund of $5 million of invested funds.
At an 8% return, this could generate $400,000 p/a – allowing for $200,000 in support to the school, and a $200,000 reinvestment to grow the fund and keep pace with inflation. As the fund grows, so does our capacity to support our thriving school community.
FUND MANAGEMENT
The Foundation will ensure fiscal responsibility and prudent management by maintaining a formal investment strategy with external investment professionals Forsyth Barr.

The MAC Foundation Business Partnership Programme provides a structured way for local businesses to contribute to the success of Mount Aspiring College through annual financial or in-kind support. The programme is designed to build predictable fundraising income, deepen community engagement, and showcase local businesses as active contributors to educational equity, excellence, and wellbeing.
